Love cooking? Or just love eating? Either way, Italy is the one of the best places to be to enjoy amazing food. In fact, you may be coming to Italy just for that reason... I can't say it never crossed my mind!
In this section you'll find all sorts of information about Italy and food including how and where to buy it, how to cook it, and where to eat it. And for those of you who enjoy cooking I hope to add some authentic recipes (with photos) soon to the site.
And unlike in the US, not every eating establishment is called a "restaurant". While you probably know what awaits you at a pizzeria (pizza) do you know the difference between a trattoria and a ristorante? Or that to order a coffee or cappuccino you need to go to a bar? (Yes I know it sounds bad, but an Italian bar is really just a coffee house).
If you want to get the most out of your culinary adventures in Italy I suggest you check out this section to learn about the basics of eating and cooking in Italy; and please don't order a cappuccino after your dinner... that's the prime mark of a tourist. Plus it's just not right... as I'll explain in that section.
